I dream of... Window Love

I'm tired of the basic plastic blinds that came standard with my apartment, so I am on a mission to buy or make some pretty curtains for my bedroom. Here are some inspirations I'm considering:

Not so mellow yellows

Pretty teals and blues

Romantic neutrals

Patterned prints

DIY contrast 

I found the DIY curtains on pinterest and it seems easy enough to make. Just buy a solid curtain, cut it, and sew in a different color of material (or two.)

Antique doorknob

Vintage brooches

Another personalized touch is to use an old doorknob or brooch to pull back and secure the curtains. Now I must decide if I want a more casual look (where the curtains will fall just past the window frame) or an ethereal, romantic vibe (where the curtains are long, and drape on the floor.) What do you think?
